What Does It Mean To Be Saved

12th Century Rabbi Predicted Israel's Future

As Joseph Farrah of WND points out, the Rabbi's predictions are astounding since they have come true regarding Israel's future history. A couple of things caught my attention. First, he mentions that the prophet Elijah who will precede the Messiah came to him and gave him the predictions. Now while I question that for there is no biblical evidence that a prophet passed into heaven was ever used as a messenger of God (In the Old Testament days angels were the messengers of God and even during the first century A.D. extending into the First Advent of Jesus), notice he mentions a Rabbinical doctrine - that Elijah must precede the coming of the Messiah. This is based on the prophecy of Malachi 4:5 - See, I will send the prophet Elijah to you before that great and dreadful day of the Lord comes.

I have written about this in several articles as well as discuss it in my book, The Day of the Lord, The Key To Understanding End-Time Prophecy, A Critical Examination of Pretribulationism. Satan is a copy cat and will produce the False Prophet whose sole purpose is to promote the Antichrist just as John the Baptist promoted the Lord Jesus prior to the inauguration of His earthly ministry. Therefore, we can expect a man to come forth who will be recognized as a prophet (a Jewish prophet, not a Muslim) that will began to promote another man as Emperor of the world who also will have Jewish lineage.

The second thing that stood out in the article is the Rabbi predicted the Ottoman Empire would rule over Jerusalem for 8 Jubilees (a jubilee year is 50 years, actually 49 years and 7 months) - from 1517 to 1917. His prediction was precisely correct for in 1917 British General Allenby drove the Turks out of Jerusalem. Then the Rabbi predicted that during the 9th Jubilee Jerusalem would be a "no man's land", that is, from 1917- 1967. That is also correct as  Jerusalem was under British mandate and even though Israel declared statehood in 1948, it still was not under their authority. Then he predicted that during the 10th Jubilee, Jerusalem would be back under Jewish Control and the Messianic era would begin. In 1967 in the infamous Six Days War, the Jews captured Jerusalem and for the first time since the Babylonian captivity, Jerusalem became the capital of the new State of Israel. However, Israel does not have full uncontested authority in Jerusalem since the Arabs control the temple mount and lay claim to Jerusalem as the capital of the Palestinians.

If his prediction is correct, then the Messianic Age will end in 2017 with the coming of Messiah. What is interesting is that 2017 is the year I predicted in my 120-Year End-Time Generation article that could be the end of the Great Tribulation and the Second Coming of Jesus. Remember the Lord told us we could not know the exact day or hour, but He did not say we could not know the year. The Lord will come on the posttrib Day of the Lord, but the exact day cannot be known because the DOTL is not a natural earth day - something I cover in detail in my DOTL book.

There are 5 years left to the end of 2017 and since the Great Tribulation lasts for 3 1/2 years, then 2013-14 could be a pivotal year in Bible prophecy. The problem prophecy teachers and students have with that is Daniel seems to predict a seven-year tribulation in Daniel 9:27 with the mid-point being the Abomination of Desolation (The Antichrist allegedly allows the temple to be rebuild the first 3 1/2 years, then puts an end to sacrifice and offering at the beginning of the last 3 1/2 years. However, the Old Testament prophets including Daniel only dealt with the last half or Great Tribulation as does the Book of Revelation - see Daniel 12:7,11 and Revelation 12:6,14; 13:5). No covenant has been made by the Antichrist with "the many" as Daniel 9:27 predicts. What if we are misinterpreting that text and it has another meaning than the traditional position?

The Hebrew root word for covenant is barah and means to cut; to make a compact; a confederacy or a leagueBarah also means to make clear or to create. Taken together the word doesn't necessarily mean to make a covenant by blood sacrifice. It could mean the Antichrist makes his intentions clear to the many concerning his peace plan (a false peace) for the Middle East involving the Jews and Arabs, which would imply he allows the Jews to again have access to the temple mount and perform some type of animal sacrifice although that is not necessary to fulfill the prophecy of Daniel.

The world changed radically after 9-11-2001 and the United States has had a fundamental makeover under Barack Hussein Obama in becoming a center left nation. These two events have prepared the world for the New World Order consisting of 10 world supra zones.  I think it is interesting that there is a growing interest for the states to secede from the Union (ABC news ran a report on it last night). The Council for Foreign Relations (CFR) - the principal branch of the Illuminati in the United States, wants the United States broken up into 3 regional zones.  Daniel 8 and 11 may indicate it will be broken up into 4 zones. The United States is deeply divided and Obama proved in his first press conference since being re-elected that he is not going to be a uniter in his second term by threatening Senators McCain and Graham over the investigation of Benghazi, specifically the comments by Ambassador Susan Rice. He again showed his thin skin and temper when publicly opposed. I hope Senators McCain and Graham comply with Obama's threat to take him on.

Obama is an arrogant pompous thin skinned ego-maniac that needs to eat some humble pie and I think the Lord God is going to feed him some real soon.

These are looking more like the appointed times of the end for sure.
